Don Beyer, D-Va., has introduced an amendment to the current \u201cminibus\u201d appropriations bill that would restrict federal funds from being used for rentals at any of 38 Trump-branded properties during official travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spending package \u2014 which includes funding bills for the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, the Energy Department, as well as the legislative branch and many independent agencies \u2014 is expected to be taken up by the House this week. These funding measures typically garner extensive provisions. Rob Wittman, Legislative Director Beth Moten, Communications Director Cory Bythrow and Legislative Representative John Threlkeld.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThese amendments are necessary due to the president\u2019s unprecedented failure to divest from his business, and the ongoing entanglement between the Trump Organization and the White House.
