Scott Miller told Navy times on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of the damage affected the cruiser\u2019s structural integrity and the Leyte Gulf is seaworthy, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the warship remains at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnic.navy.mil\/regions\/cnrse\/installations\/ns_mayport.html\" target=_blank>Naval Station Mayport<\/a> in Florida as a probe into the collision continues.<\/p>\n\n\n<aside class=\"smg-interstitial-link smg-interstitial-link--fallback wp-block-smg-interstitial-link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/your-navy\/2019\/02\/07\/cruiser-dry-cargo-vessel-involved-in-collision-sail-to-florida\/?utm_campaign=Socialflow+NAV&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_source=facebook.com&#038;fbclid=IwAR381AlFv7ew_KyKnakbvrpcbvazRUlh-njBAX0N8VIcKPyTQBSnMHEY4mM\" class=\"smg-interstitial-link__fallback-link\">Cruiser, dry cargo vessel involved in collision sail to Florida<\/a><\/aside>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Leyte Gulf \u201ctouched sterns\u2019 with the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition vessel Robert E. Peary during a Feb. 6 underway replenishment off the coast of Georgia, officials have said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No injuries were reported, but the Peary \u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvr.navy.mil\/SHIPDETAILS\/SHIPSDETAIL_AKE_5_3732.HTML\" target=_blank> which is operated by Military Sealift Command<\/a> \u2014 sustained a \u201csmall-diameter hole in the ship\u2019s hull, above the waterline,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unrep mishap sidelined the Leyte Gulf from a training exercise meant to ready the Abraham
