But these are just a few of the typical things that separated or retired service members keep with them. Other things, they\u2019re stuck with forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So we compiled a list of the more non-traditional things that veterans carry for life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. An incessant need to roll socks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Bad knees<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. The misguided idea that ibuprofen and fresh socks will cure any ailment<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Tinnitis. ZNNNNNNNNNG.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. The ability to sleep anywhere<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. The plight of not being able to sleep at all<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Old combat boots. They\u2019re great for mowing the lawn or a trip to Home Depot.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Fear of tape tests<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Issues with authority figures<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Back pain<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11. T-shirts from strange events and places they don\u2019t remember going<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12. A woobie that has seen better days.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">13. A swearing problem that is FUBAR<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">14. A love\/hate relationship with acronyms<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">15. Total disdain for PowerPoint<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">16. Scars from barracks shenanigans gone awry<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">17, A few ugly divorces<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">18. A truck they bought after gaining some sense and selling that Camaro they financed at 27% APR<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">19. Some weird strip club stories<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">20. Sleep apnea<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">21. Bad tattoos that seemed like a really good idea at the time<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">22. Boxy brown t-shirts that somehow have sweat stains in a different, more gross shade of brown<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">23.
